How to use your Factorio server
Follow these steps from purchase and connection through configuration and safe updates.

Purchase and automatic setup
Choose a plan and Factorio is installed automatically on a dedicated VM. Wait until the server address appears on the management page.

Connect from the game
Copy the IP and game port into Factorio's direct-connect screen or server browser. Complete any game-specific authentication notice first.
- 03
Manage settings, mods and files
Change supported options in the web console and use the provided SFTP account for maps or large mod files. Keep a copy before editing files.
- 04
Back up before updating
Ask players to disconnect and stop the server cleanly. Confirm the backup, run the version update, then verify that players can reconnect.
Operations tip: Player estimates assume default settings. Watch memory usage and upgrade the plan when using large worlds or many mods.
